Cockatiels are on the move

Cockatiels are on the move as well! There are two eggs in one of the three nests available in the big cage. I can not distinguish the parents (so far) because i don't have more space to pair properly the cockatiels (they want big spaces to breed properly). I brought new blood recently as you can see in the second image. There are two white face (males), one lutino (propably female) (sitting on the food feed) and one more that is not a pure lutino (male).

For your information, the small cage you see the cockatiels in (in the image), is just a transfer-cage, don't even think about having those parrots in such a small space.

Violet Full House

It is an honor to announce that my most recently acquired budgerigar in my fleet has made me proud. She is a female and she's carrying the violet factor. In just 15 days of pairing her, she gave me a full house of eggs. Can't wait for the hatching days to come. According to my incubation information i have acquired from the Internet, budgerigars' eggs want about 18 days to hatch. Hence, i must have the very first one newborn at 1st of March.

Lovebird family

The whole familia in one picture. Enjoy!

I hope you can distinguish the father and the mother from the children. You can see the difference in beak color (for now). I wait for a little bit of time to separate the children from the parents until the weather here in Cyprus is calmed a little bit. Worst weather ever in my whole life. Really strong wind and unstoppable rain dropping like crazy all the time. I put protection from the strong wind everywhere, and i also put my zebra finches inside my house.

New season begins!

A new season begins this year. I reorganized my parrots as follow, budgies got into pairs hence controlled breeding. I have some extra female budgies and i have in mind to get some males to join some of them. Ino's cage got a lot bigger as you can see in the video below and i moved my cockatiels into budgies' cage. Some more pictures of what's going on. Also you can see the very tidy way to write down what the heck i am doing with the pairs this year.

Following, there is a video showing the final setup of this year's resolution. Now let us begin!
